Hi, I'm the mama behind the yarn.

Knotty Mama started the way most good things do — late at night, with a hook in my hand and a kid finally asleep down the hall. I'm a mom in Idaho, and crochet went from being the thing that kept me calm to the thing that helps keep our lights on.

Everything in the shop is made by me, one piece at a time. No factory, no bulk imports, no AI-generated product photos — the pictures you see are the actual ghosts and pumpkins sitting on my table. If a stitch looks a little different from the photo, it's because a human made it.

I use soft, kid-friendly yarns, secure every face and eye by hand, and stuff each piece so it's squishy but keeps its shape. When you order, you're not just getting a keychain — you're buying my kid's shoes, our groceries, and a little more freedom for us.
